So i did everything that says here in the tutorial but when i go to the selection screen of characters, i see that the character i replaced files looks exactly the same and hasn't changed at all so i don't know what im doing wrong the only thing is my version of the game is Codex and since in the tutorial your data folder of the game is in a different folder than mine maybe this only works for steam version, can anybody comfirm this??? i though this will work with my version since in anothert thread of this forum i was asking for a way of modding codex version and somebody posted this tutorial so idk if somebody could help me.

How to unpack the .cpk files to edit the game
What you need: CriPakTools-master
1. Drag n Drop your data.cpk file in the CriPakTools-master folder
2. Double click on 1-EXTRACT_ALL(no_decompression).bat
3. You get a folder named Data. (Rename it to DataBackup and save it on a place you remember. This folder contains the files we want to edit later)
4. Delete the data.cpk in the CriPakTools-master folder
5. Drag n Drop you data2.cpk in the CriPakTools-master folder
6. Double click on 1-EXTRACT_ALL(no_decompression).bat
7. You get 2 folders Data and Data2
8. Create a folder named Data2root on your root folder of DB XV and put the data2 and data folder into it
Am i supposed to drag the data.cpk back into the directory or just delete it while it's in the unpack?

I did everything as mandated by the tutorial. But in the last part where I need to open the CriPakTools.exe to the CPK file the program simply does not open. The command prompt opens for less than 1 second and closes. When I try to play the Data2root folder upon application, open the command prompt, a text and it stops working. Vídeo \/ Imagem 1 - 00:20 /\ In this it opens and closes in a second. (Nessa ele abre e fecha em um segundo) Imagem 2 - 01:01 /\ In this it stops working. ( Nessa ele para de funcionar )

Am i supposed to drag the data.cpk back into the directory or just delete it while it's in the unpack? At last!!! This is the correct way to do it! The problem we had was to do not rename the first data folder. By unpacking the data2 we were overwritting the first data folder, and packing only the data2 one. Thanks for making clear this point! Now works all perfect

Hey Guys, so i've been modding and repacking for a while now, and everything was going great for the past few days. But now all of a sudden after I repack, when I start the game, the game just instantly crashes and gives me a "wrong key error". This has never happened before and it's like there was an update to the data2.cpk file from steam that prevents me from changing anything inside. Never mind guys i fixed it How do you fix it and wat do you do with data1 files
