Well I had this idea that XenoVerse has all the necessary things to make a good mmorpg. The fighting elements have been created already, just needs the help of some good people to band together and mod the hell out of it.
Some of the ssj skills could be improved to look more realistic on custom characters(ex. transforming from SSJ - SSJ3 in sequence rather than directly, in and out of battle. Would be cool to transform in the lobby, show off the transforms we aquire) Expand the world a bit to allow more areas(I could help with this part)
Add in a few more custom races [Bio-androids, androids(fully mechanical and humanoid), demons and kai's.]
Create more stories for the game that happened but were left out.
I can also provide a way to add real currency to the game to allow for special item purchases.
If anyone is interested in helping out with this let me know, would love to get a team together of experienced people to make XenoVerse a hell of alot better. Could even change the working title to the name of my old game Dragon Ball: The Forsaken Future.

Looks like u just want to create a game publicly to profit off of a game that was already made just so you dont have to code in the elements that are already in the game. But this is a good idea

America?

I have someone that might be able to if I can talk him into it, he seems a bit interested, but I think he has some issues concerning steam and creating a server. Also he says he might need a bit of help on the reverse engineering of the source.. the tunggle community did create a server using SmartSteamEmu but not exactly sure how and that might be a pain in the ass for people just wanting to connect and play.. would be alot easier to hardcode it somewhere in the source once we figure that out.

honestly id prefer a project m-esk mod like balancing every character, making every character unique, adding characters, etc but we still haven't discovered how to mess with everything in the game so atm both ideas are impossible.

honestly id prefer a project m-esk mod like balancing every character, making every character unique, adding characters, etc but we still haven't discovered how to mess with everything in the game so atm both ideas are impossible. Yeah we have all these awesome characters and costumes available and in the works, if we could straighten out sound imports and add new char/costume slots, we'd have ourselves one hell of a game. I've played a few fighting games where users were able to convert their mods into DLC format. Here, I'll show you. This forum is called mksecrets and its home to a modding community who practice MK and Injustice mods. Both games use the same Unreal-powered engine and basic set up so feats accomplished in one game could be carried out in another (unpacking, texture editing, sound replacement and eventually conversion to official DLC format). These guys had NO control over models in game, because the file containing the mesh would flip out if the mesh changed size or structure. This could probably be fixed with hex editing, but that's not the point. JUST LOOK AT BLACK LANTERN HARLEY. credits to my man wyruzzah here, its been too long since I hung out with the mksecrets clan, i miss you guys <3The point is, all we really need to do is work out by reverse engineering all contents of a DLC pack and trying, i dunno, maybe a different encoding method for our audio files and BOOM. We'll have new stuff. If we can add new names to the game the same principle should apply to everything, the only downside is, our mods may not be compatible with each other if the files are controlled in a packet outside of the DLC itself.

Komodo well xenoverse uses the havok engine doesn't it perhaps we should look into other games with same engine (i think skyrim uses havok) Edit: just checked and sure enough skyrim uses havok for Animation, Behavior, and Physics

Profiting off of someone else's IP in itself is illegal too. This is a terrible idea anyway, we don't need a DBZ MMORPG. And this "Project of turning Xenoverse into an MMO" Will never get off the ground or even work.

Profiting off of someone else's IP in itself is illegal too. Personally I'd like a DBZ MMO as long as it was action-oriented like DBX, but this is 100% Quoted For Truth material. Also the undertaking of making an MMO is an extremely costly and time-consuming endeavor. Most MMOs that you see on the market these days cost upwards of hundreds of thousands to several millions in terms of creation expenses, and then after that there's all sorts of operation expenses that go into keeping them running. That's not to say that it cannot be done independently, as there are multiple efforts that are showing and have shown that this is entirely possible for an independent or semi-professional team to do, but those groups still have rather dedicated workforces. Even in an instance like this where it seems like half the game is "already built," there's all sorts of networking infrastructure and all that other stuff that would have to be worked out. And then, lastly, there is the IP. If people were really, really, super serious about this, the better idea would just be to start from scratch and do your own coding work and make your own models and create your own setting and IP. And that, generally, is much more work than most people would be willing to put in.
