If you apply the Alpha filter to the data002.dds over the normal hairstlye's pallet, the original hairstyle dissapears. Effectively allowing you to do a 100% model swap.

Well, this was an experience, and it worked well. Even though I didn't attempt the transformable hair, I've learned to make customs. Buuuuuuut, I've run into an issue. The hair color seems stuck at the 'Xenoviewer brown' rather than being tintable. Despite that, the transformed tint works, even a custom one, as seen with Yusion's Legendary SSJ green color. I'll try tinkering with it further and see if I can locate the problem, but pointers are also welcome. Also, I have a question, could you point me to a blender tutorial how to weight the hair, so the SSJ3 part stays by the character's back, rather than have its entirety move along with the head? Or perhaps add the steps to weight it to this tutorial?

Which files are you looking for? I just wanted the files in your step 70 screenshot. So everything? Like the entire folder and all the extras of the mods and .fbx .xml files etc too?

Hello! First, sorry for my english! I've done te tutorial yesterday, but something clearly went wrong The SS3 also hair visible with full black color and the original hair style glowing with several color (when rotating camera, change blue to green and more) too I think made mistake with the DATA00X.dds files when saving. I used PS CS6. My other question is the hair style files: the most emb is missing, only the 000 and the 001 has single emb. How can I find the correct file? I use Female Saiyan hair style 1 or 18, because that is the same, but flipped. Thanks for help!

I could see the black lines in the .gif you posted and would rather wait for the real thing. Seeing the floating black lines would nag the crap out of me. ^_^ Though who knows, I just finished making all of the Human/Saiyan gear colorable. Might look at some of the transformation mods myself and see if I can figure it out while you work on your tutorial.

Id rather people mess around with it because I am sure there is some setting to get rid of the outline somehow.

I will cover full swaps in my next tutorial, but this is how I did the SS4 bust. Good to know. Perhaps that tutorial will help me get through the color problem described above.
