There are some files in character folders with LOD in the name. Anyone know what these do specifically? Should I add them to help do model swaps?

From my meager understanding of how 3D and polygon based games go, LOD should mean Level of detail. If I'm right on this, the LOD files are versions of a mesh with less polygons, usually used to display objects when far away, and to not stress your computer much. The further away an object is, the less detailed mesh it uses. LOD models should be displayed more frequently on computers using less detailed settings in their game options since LOD will kick in at closer ranges. I personally don't touch LOD files but, at least on model swaps I do move them with the swapping for consistency.

They shouldn't change anything in the normal model. Also, at least in my case, I haven't seen an in game use of the lod models, though haven't even opened them in blender to see how many polygons they actually have.
But if my understanding is correct, if you for example, get Vegeto's model, rename it to raditz and toss it in Raditz folder, and you swap only the normal models and leave the LOD stuff behind, if seen from very far, you will see the original model of Raditz instead of your Vegeto mod. At least that's what should happen in theory.

I've been trying to get a mod of SSj3 Adult Gohan done, but after all the file switching, the only change is his eyebrows... :/

Writing the steps taken and then using those as a checklist helps sometimes determine if you are missing something somewhere. I should be doing that right about now as well, as I seem to have missed something myself while working on my current mod. Things that worked nicely before are not working now. :/
