I'm having trouble with some custom models when I apply emb to the models in 3DS MAX and when I put the models ingame they look textureless : Here's the face and eyes model on 3DS MAX (grey, darker parts are the bugged ones) : Here's the same models but rendered : Here is the bust model in a sperate window, but looks a bit different. (same on the rendering though) : And finally here is how it looks ingame (animations are unfinished but that part I don't need a help with ) : Does anyone know what's going on? What am I doing wrong? Please help and thanks for reading. Also I would like to request if possible, for someone to make a video on importing models and their textures.

It needs a dyt.emb file. Those files determine the colors of the model.

It needs a dyt.emb file. Those files determine the colors of the model. I know, thanks but I already put the dyt.emb files so it isn't that. Even if I the default one the model just doesn't pick up the colors, the only way the model has the correct colors is if I don't put materials on it in 3DS MAX, but then in game the black lines are all screwed up. Still trying to figure it out, but thanks.

Well, since it's a custom model, you need a completely custom alpha layer (emb) to go with the custom color layer (dyt). Have you done the alpha layer of it yet?

Well, I just used the alpha layers that were ingame for those models and they looked good in 3DS MAX, but in game it's textureless. Also I dunno if you checked out LawLaw's Broly base form or not, but I checked the files to see if he had done something differently in the alphas but he didn't, so I tested his model ingame and it worked just fine, after that I tested it again (but applying the alpha files directly in 3DS MAX) and guess what... the model was textureless ingame xD. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but as soon as I apply textures to the models inside 3DS MAX it just shows up with no textures ingame. (Btw I tried using Gotenks's .emb on my face model which is his, but resized and it looks wrong in game so I have to apply the .emb in the model.) Thanks again for taking your time to help me and just reading my post.

.-. Well fuck. Maybe 3DS just does not like you lol. I'm out of suggestions DX xD thanks anyways. I guess 3DS doesn't like me at all. I'll just try the 2010 version. I'll see if that's better. The worst part is, I can't find 2010 version anywhere.

Its your emm file. You have to change that to correspond with the name of your subelements on 3DS max.
Its not the alpha channels, if it was it would probably appear all black.

I changed the name so it would correspond to the ID's of the model and it's sub materials just like in the tutorial, 1 2 3 4... Edit: I've even tried changing the sub material names to yellow, skin, etc... and still no result.

Fixed the color bug, just had to change the sub material names to match the names on an existing .emm file, in this case Gotenks face .emm because it had 4 or more colors, it was that simple.
