as for those who argue with my decisions, im tired of all of you. really. some of you dont care for credit but majority of us do. I've been staying out of this thread, but I just wanted to mention that, as someone who has moderated other communities before, this is not how moderating works. Moderating is a diplomatic, "by the people for the people" style job. If you try to take a heavy-handed, "don't argue with me" style of moderating, people are going get upset. And when people get upset, they will display it. The Internet is the purest form of a Democracy (or at least Anarchy), in many cases. Nobody here is bound by any means to do anything that anyone else says. People that are in a position of power (moderators, forum overseers, etcetera) are only there because other people are allowing them to be. As a moderator, you are at the mercy of your community at all times. At this point, you're probably thinking, "what are you talking about? It's my site, I can tell them what I want to." But the problem with that is that, even so, they are still making a volunteered decision to use your site. Although they cannot remove you from your position in a technical sense, they can still do that virtually through other means, such as leaving, like people are doing now. If you want to make a change in this community (and I'm sure you do, considering how many volunteer hours you put into doing things here), I would strongly urge you to reconsider this general attitude of moderation, as it is something that I (and various others in this thread) have picked up on as being rather unprofessional. |

What do you guys think ? the problem is not solved. he hasnt credited you for your crash mod. this guy is not someone who is going to change. as for those who argue with my decisions, im tired of all of you. really. some of you dont care for credit but majority of us do. best way to assure that everyone knows who made which and prevent stealing the credit for the mod is to post the forum link in the description. that way poeple can download the mod if they like what they see. honestly what is the point of doing a video if you are not going to share it... ? personal mods i understand but those mods werent personal. so mind your own business if you are not the victim. but i have managed to make them give credits to every video i see. first i try nice. if that doesnt work i would be aggressive. but if you are simply thickheaded i cannot do anything more. I will not care anymore. i might even stop modding . but before i go, ill leave what i learned in the form of tutorials. but if you are blind i cannot cure you . I will not bother anymore. I dont care any more. why would i stress myself over this when I have have more fun things to do? and moderating can be different to each person. the first thing I asked mastaklo was to implement guidelines to be a moderator. he didnt give any. so i was working under my judgement calls. my attitude is simple. the guidelines are posted. you follow it I will be a very nice person . A lot of people have seen this side of me if they did so. but I dont have to explain myself any more. i have stated the points earlier and I do not wish to repeat myself. Dpad this isnt the first time i am moderating something. and this wont be the last time. But I certainly dont want to exhaust myself if people dont care. |

I simply asked you to put the link in the description and thats something i have been doinng from the very begining. its a curtesy . it didnt have to be a rule . and its something i remind poeple even though they were not my mods but you have been using my mods too without credit . |

People don't continously get in the arguments and complain about Xan, HulktySSJ2, HeirTalent, kthxbai or dropkix. Your name, on the other hand, keeps popping up. Take a wonder why that is. Also - the "No, YOU'RE all empty talk!" really makes you look poor, and like you can't come up with an argument. One - I never made any empty promises here, so your "argument" is null and void. Two - you said yourself that you don't want to moderate any longer. So the logical thing for you would be to proceed and step down if you're so fed up. Nobody is paying you for the position, so why would you persist if it upsets you? All you're doing is angrily shaking your fist in the air because you didn't get your way, while adopting a "holier-than-thou" attitude towards other people, and believing like you can do no wrong. there is a lot of poeple who dont know about the forum. This statement would be proven true. If not for the fact, that... On one final note, this statement is all the truer when you consider that this forum is the first and second result in Google when you search for either Xenoverse mods or DBXV mods. I would have more sympathy for the actions taken if this was some kind of underdog forum, but it by no stretch of the imagination is. For the record - if this message gets altered or removed, and you will throw me another 10% warning for openly expressing my opinion, this will only serve to further prove my point. |
