You don't have to leave just because of one incident, as i said before i did apologize to him for how i came on to him as it was immature and rude. Naah, it's happened before and I've found myself getting frustrated as to how situations were handled here before. I don't need the drama and I'd rather focus on communities more to my liking then.  I do appreciate and admire your apology though! |

since you are new here I ll explain why those rules are there. first of all your friends who downloaded those mods must have known the rules. anyhow... posting the modders link will allow the viewer to see who made the mod and see their other work. also allowing them to download those mods rather than just watching. whats the point of seeing them in a video if you cant try it for yourself? so please post the modder's forum link as well. or their youtube. thats how we do things here. In case you have not heard I've been putting the creator's name on each video. I can not do is put all the links again because I could go crazy, I have also seen many people on youtube channels only put the name of the author of the mod. |

How many times do I have to say this? Nobody will bother to hunt down links to individual threads to put in the description, especially if people will be such aggressive assholes about it.
Putting the link to this forum index is sufficient, interested people will then search for the mod in question on their own. If they can't be bothered to do this, tough for them.
Also, I agree with Shenron about the place being toxic at times, this being a prime example - nobody bothered to contact the guy in the first place and simply ask him like a normal human being to credit people, or even verify the accusation that he was supposedly "stealing" mods. No, as usual, people went full nuclear winter and banded together to downvote/report the videos en-masse. Very mature and "proper" way of handling things. Except it bloody isn't.
I'm considering leaving this place as well, while I see more and more of this sort of things crop up. I don't want to be associated with a forum that appears on an internet crusade against random people on youtube, just because they deny the forum its "fame and recognition".

On one final note, this statement is all the truer when you consider that this forum is the first and second result in Google when you search for either Xenoverse mods or DBXV mods. I would have more sympathy for the actions taken if this was some kind of underdog forum, but it by no stretch of the imagination is. |

agad117 is right on the money. I have said this before; people share mods, so the source gets lost. You can't expect everyone to know everything, or even to follow all the rules. This modding community is probably the strictest, most protective one I've ever come across; you can't really blame people for not knowing this community's specific rules. To top it off, you didn't even contact him and ask him to give credit, you just started brigading him and his videos. This is incredibly immature, especially coming from a mod... I'll make a thread to post the one tool I finished, and then I'm sorry to say I will stop frequenting this forum. It seems fun at times, but at others it just feels toxic; this being a prime example of that. I'm sad to read this :/ Nonetheless, I wish you luck and I hope to see you back soon I think since the problem was solved, should I remove this thread ? What do you guys think ? |

All this is solved. The people I have spoken in the forum is friendly and comprensive. It was a mistake because idont know the rules. I didnt want to disturb anyone. I didnt know this site until a few days ago and I think that is fine. Thanks for understanding. I will not forget to mention the creator of the mod for now. |

Personally I feel the thread should stay, instead of being removed. Hiding your mistakes doesn't do anything for anyone, and in some cases, is actually worse in the long run.
Plus, this thread started out on something else entirely, if you absolutely have to do anything, then it should be to clean the thread and revert it to what it was before this mess happened.

What do you guys think ? the problem is not solved. he hasnt credited you for your crash mod. this guy is not someone who is going to change. as for those who argue with my decisions, im tired of all of you. really. some of you dont care for credit but majority of us do. best way to assure that everyone knows who made which and prevent stealing the credit for the mod is to post the forum link in the description. that way poeple can download the mod if they like what they see. honestly what is the point of doing a video if you are not going to share it... ? personal mods i understand but those mods werent personal. so mind your own business if you are not the victim. but i have managed to make them give credits to every video i see. first i try nice. if that doesnt work i would be aggressive. but if you are simply thickheaded i cannot do anything more. I will not care anymore. i might even stop modding . but before i go, ill leave what i learned in the form of tutorials. but if you are blind i cannot cure you . I will not bother anymore. I am burnt out . and its depressing to look at the forum any longer. |
