This tutorial is for those who would like to rename main characters and add additional characters
For example: The Bojack mod that turns Nappa(5 letters) into Bojack(6 letters), in the end of this tutorial, u will be able to add additional letters rather than only being able to edit the letters in a characters name.
You will need:
Hex Editor (HxD is a good one)
Dragon Ball Xenoverse
2 copies of the file "proper_noun_character_name_en" (1 is the back up in case u do any mistakes and one is the one u will edit)
Step 1: Open your hex editor and then open the file "proper_noun_character_name_en"
Step 2: Scroll all the way down until u see the main characters names on the side of the hex edit (in my case I will pick Nappa to change to Bojack)
Step 3: On the side where the characters name is,select your mouse before the first letter of the characters name, then memorize the off set given , in my case Nappa's offset is _____.
Step 4: Now click search>find and then put the offset number u recorded but since it is a hex editor u have to flip it , so from 1F 72 to 72 1F

Step 5: When u find it, leave it alone and come back to it later, for now scroll all the way to the bottom until you see the last character and 3 dots (They indicate space for another character), you have to insert bytes by clicking edit>insert bytes, insert as much as u need, in my case I needed 13 bytes to fully insert Bojack as a replacement name (make sure to put 3 extra bytes after the name to make it work)

Step 6: Now, u have to click your mouse before the first letter of the new characters name to get the offset, for me it was 27 74 ( flip it and u get 74 27)

Step 7: Click on search>find again and it should take you exactly where your characters old offset is (referring to step 3-4), now with the offset of the new character's name , replace the old offset number with the new one ( don't forget to flip the new offset's numbers)

Step 8: If you want to add more characters then repeat the steps
Step 9: Save the file and Repack
Enjoy! If you guys want to add more characters to costumes, z souls and etc., please refer to The Mad Titan and Yusion for reference, I simply focused on name changing here as I thought it was a little hard to understand how to do so I uploaded a hopefully easy tutorial for you guys
