I have been trying to re position eyes/rescale eyes on blender. that works fine and I do not lose the texture of the eyeball. however the pupils disappear. I know the pupils are in the emb file. so as usual i flip the texture hoping it would work . but it didnt. the pupils have disappeared. i tried to follow the uv mapping tutorial to fix this issue. but eyes have a different map from what i have seen .
can somebody give me a clue on why this is happening please!
edit - no trace of pupils are shown after re scaling or re positioning

Can you show a screenshot of what you mean by disappear? Is it a different texture than the eye base? If so, perhaps the texture slots are disabled/ in the wrong order/ not affecting diffuse? Just some thoughts; I haven't played with textured models that I imported myself yet, and it's hard to say without seeing the model in question.

Sometimes, eye and pupil come in two meshes. One with the white of the eye, and the other with the pupil. Make sure everything is selected when rescaling. This is knowledge from other models, not from DBXV. I have not worked on eyes in here yet. Now if this doesn't work or if the eye is all a single mesh and a single texture, try to make the texture show up on blender so you have an idea where it is positioned. The method to show textures in blender is part of the aligning tutorial as well. Remember that when loading the texture in blender, it must not be flipped vertically just yet.

I went to material editor and and only saw 2 materials. the material for left eye and the material for the right eye. the pupils were not materials. yes ofcourse . I flipped the texture after editing. im gonna attempt it again. while im trying it again, i d love any more tips if any of you has one . thank you

I personally never understood how pupils worked : I mean, how are they getting their color without any material ? How are the pupils size are changing even if the emb file is same ?

I wish I knew. But since I don't know 3D stuff, all my knowledge goes within Photoshop. If it is the case, is it happening only with that emb file? Or does it happen with other eye embs too. If you try a different one (one that has worked out on previous mods) and it works out, then the problem lies within the emb file, and not the 3D program. If it also fails, then the problem is clearly somewhere the 3D program. I would also suggest, showing us a pic of the eyes too, so that maybe someone else notices something from it that may be the reason. I assume you have verified your alphas in the emb file are still there, to make sure they appear as black in game. If not, maybe you saved in a wrong format? Wished I could provide more help, but no clue, sorry! ^^;
