After typing up the following wall of text in reply to gurlock, I decided to make this thread so we had somewhere to dump our Skill Sets, how we've learned to use moves, and any tips/tricks we've picked up. This could be useful for new players looking for strategies, or even for vets looking to change up their style a bit. A sort of "playstyle repository" if you will, where we can compare styles and drop advice.
:Disclaimer: - Sorry for any mess here, I typed this up on my phone, and will edit it so it looks nice and neat when I get back to my beloved wife.. I mean computer..
---------------------------------
I'll go first. I guess you could say.. I like it up close and personal.
Super 1: Meteor Crash
Time a grapple/Light Grenade after this and you can wreck lower level opponents, or follow up with another combo and Orin Combo, then drop an Ult before they hit the ground and get that "invul because downed" handicap.
Super 2: Orin Combo
An aerial combat must-have, also, learn to "catch" opponents with it after you smash them away and "teleport" behind them. You start attacking vertically with it, so fire it off too early and your opponent will zip under you and recover, but land it properly and you can dish out pretty decent damage.
Super 3: Gravity Impact
Learn to time this against blasts, and you can stop pretty much anything. You have other attacks for close combat, but this can tie in to the end of a Meteor Crash easily enough. People react hilariously to having their big flashy Ult amount to harmless fireworks, so practice practice practice.
Super 3 Option 2: Super Dragon Fist
If I don't think I will need to counter as much, or I want to play more aggressively, I go for this. Good damage and decent reach on the initial hit make this a good follow up for Meteor Crash, and you can finish the combo with a Light Grenade for good measure.
Super 4: Light Grenade
The ONLY blast attack you will need, ever. Low charge does nearly no damage, but the stagger can be pretty useful. Max charge when possible, but don't get killed risking it. Excellent range compared to most other Blast Supers. Use whenever you need to blast something. Time right after knockdowns or it'll just sail over your opponent's head.
Ultimate 1: Saiyan Pride
Gods I wish this was a Strike Ult so it got the SSJ2 buff. All round good smashy Ult. Catch knocked opponents with it, or zip behind them and crack their spine when they try to Ult you. Can follow behind Meteor Crash if you're fast, which looks flashy as hell and does decent damage.
Ultimate 2: Sphere of Destruction
When I need a big ball of energy to throw at my opponent in a screaming orgy of planet detroying goodness, this is the one I turn to. Medium "cast" time, medium range, and good damage. Damages enemies when charging, and can hit more then one. Don't use it right after smashing your opponent across the arena as it sometimes doesn't have the range, instead use it after staggering them, or if youre feeling ballsy, try to catch a smashed opponent with it while they're hurtling towards you.
Ultimate 2 Option 2: Super Saiyan 2
I don't steer towards transforming too often as sometimes an extra attack can help more, but sometimes the situation calls for that almost negligible boost in power.
Evasive Skill: Blaster Meteor
Awesome offensive Evasive Skill. Can finish a combo with it, interrupt weak energy blasts with it then rush, or knock back any overeagre rushers/disperse mobs gathering around you. Expensive, but very useful.
Z Soul: You Can Be The First Victim.
Full Ki straight off the bat and damage resistance, a close range brawlers dream if you're planning a fast aggressive win.
Z Soul Option 2: What a Handy Miscalculation
My personal favourite of the resurrection Z Souls. Use if you think 1 health bar and 4 health items isnt enough.
Z Soul Option 3: SSJ Bargain Bin Sale
If going with SSJ2, this helps prolong the form, and was the first skill I saw and picked, so it's the one I go to. Suggestions welcome here.
