Hey everyone! New guy here; zero modding skill, lots of hopes... unfortunately. I have a small list of requests I'd like to put forth, seeing as I've got zero experience in making mods, in every sense of the phrase. In terms of Accessories, I only have a couple requests, as there aren't many accessories I'd like to see made. First off, I'm hoping for Towa's Earrings; I mean... we have the outfit, and already have some Earring Mods, sure... but either way, it couldn't hurt, right? Besides, Towa's Model has been ripped, so it should hopefully be easier to make than if someone were to try and make it from scratch. Second, I'm hoping that, since we have a mod for Time Breaker Bardock, perhaps a mod for just his mask wouldn't be out of the question?
Now then, as for hair, that's another story. I've noticed that outside of the DBZ-related hairdos, such as SSJ4 Gogeta, or Broly's hairstyle and all variations thereof, among Kami knows what else... there's remarkably few non-DBZ hair mods for females OR males. For starters, how about some female hairstyles that are longer than most vanilla hairdos? Like Rangiku Matsumoto's hair from Bleach... Or maybe Yoruichi Shihoin... Or, for something shorter... perhaps Rukia Kuchiki? I may come back and add to these lists at later dates, but these are the ones that immediately came to mind. I'm aware I may be asking for a bit much, but that's what this forum's here for, right? Now, I'm sure the more experienced modders have their sources or whatnot, and you guys have paid a visit to this site to peruse the 3d models at some point, but I feel that this link is relevant to the thread. 3D Models Sanctuary

If you can get models of JUST the hair, you can rig them over old hairstyles. as for the Time Breaker Mask, you can rig the Time Breaker Bardock face over an existing accessory.

That's the thing; I wouldn't know how to do that. I've never rigged a 3D model before, sadly.

I don't think you understand; I have ZERO experience in terms of working with 3D models. I have no idea how the heck to import meshes, opening files in blender that I THINK will get me the results I want does diddly, and frankly, if I knew how to do, or understood ANY of what goes into making a mod, I wouldn't be here.

Still, I'm a bit more inclined to leave the mods to people with experience. I don't want to try and make mods until I know what the heck I'm doing in Blender.

Okay... I watched the Blender Beginners tutorial, and... still no idea what I'm doing. I can at least import models and view them, but trying to edit them is incredibly frustrating. It feels like I'm making little to no progress and I know I've only scratched the surface. At the rate I'm going, I'm worried the modding community here will be dead or dormant by the time I'd be halfway decent at this. I realize that this is probably not the mentality a modeler should have, but I never asked to be a modeler. I just asked if someone who had the experience might be able to fulfill a request, as I have none. Or... next to none, as the case is now. I'm not sure if it's a lack of patience on my part, a lack of familiarity with the modeling process itself, or if I'm just not technically inclined with stuff like this. It may be a combination of the former three; I don't know.
Either way, I'm far more content to let the pros who know what they're doing handle the mod-making. I've got a long ways to go before I can readily contribute any works here.

As a guy who has been trying for a month and a half to get mods working with only one success, it's rather daunting to try and jump in headfirst. I also am a very hands-on person, and I found the tutorials to be very useful. In the tutorial section is a Blender tutorial for beginners, it's a series that'll teach you how to use Blender, and you don't even have to follow the entire series to learn the basics of Blender. I honestly never made it past learning to build a basic house before jumping back into manipulating existing DBXV models. Once I got lost again, I looked for other Blender tutorials to follow. It's easy manipulating models for me, where I struggle is fixing the colors and textures so they don't look off in game. What I'm getting at is, it's good to want to learn, but unless you apply yourself and try, eventually people like Mad Titan will just tell you to follow the tutorial and make it yourself if you've gonna be pushy. Once you have a basic grasp of what you're doing with modding, then people will be willing to help you further when you find your mod doesn't work in game, or looks off. It's easier in this forum to ask for help with your mods, then requesting things, as requests are just that, requests. Modders on here are already being tugged in twenty different directions to make people mods, which leaves them very little time to work on their own mods, so another request will be ignored until their load gets lighter, and by then your request will be buried by a mountain of other ideas. Sorry for the long rambling speech, I'm sure you know all this already. ^^; But, just in case you don't, here's a simplified version: ask for help with your mod, instead of asking for your mod. It's more polite when you can say you don't know how to move forward, than to say you want to learn but you can't because reasons.

everyone here is learning every single day when someone knows how to do the X or Y modding, they share their knowledge to the community in tutorial for people like you, like me, like everyone you just need some patience and spend your time learning the basic and try to do yourself if don't work at the first time, no problem try again and learns with the failures For example, I like to learn and try to do for myself than relying on other people to do the mods I want When I enter to the forum, I didn't even know how to change the colors of the characters Now I'm "tattoo modder" doing tattoos mods for everyone here
Practicing and learning, if you have any question, just go to the tutorial or to the Help Board to ask how do you can do this

I'm working on something right now, but my main roadblock is how the heck I'm going to delete individual parts of an imported mesh than the whole mesh. I'll go ask this in the help section and provide a screencap of my progress, and see what people have to say. If there's something in the tutorials section or an answer in the help section for the problem I'm experiencing, that'd be a big help. I'm using Blender though; dunno how much of whatever process used to do what I'm trying to figure out is the same in, say... 3DSMax compared to Blender. Either way, I'm making progress at least. I have an idea of what I want, I have the resources I need, but my know-how is still lacking. As you and the others have said, that's what the help section is for. EDIT - Okay nevermind; seems that it's more or less the same process; deleting vertice after vertice for each part I don't want. I guess this is one of the "tedious" parts of editing models for mods.
