If you say so. I'd just suggest figuring out other strategies that don't rely on crutch moves, but to each their own. I would agree if this was another game but...let's be honest, most of the late quests become nearly impossible with the cpu with infinite ki and stamina, you end up either by spamming your favourite ultimate, or if you are a melee fighter opt for a no stagger skill/z-soul. The way the game is designed simply teach the player how to be a spammer. There is no way to avoid being ganked, if you bring 2 companion with you they are pretty much stupid and fail even to resurrect you in case you die (so many times they glitched on some wall/object on the stage); if you prefer to do quest alone (what I mostly do aside when farming exp for the masters) it's complete nightmare. I like challenges and hard games, but the way the game is designed is just wrong. On top of that with the latest patch they nerfed what helped NON spammer to keep it up with the game: GI helped alot when being ganked by the enemy, as well evil whirlwind.

As a striker, I use neither strategy. I just combo and know how to work with my static moveset. I've got "guess we should fuse into Vegito" as my Z-Soul, Potential Unlocked and Spirit Sword as Ultimates, and a stat-upping pose, Perfect Shot, Max Charge, and Meteor Combo for Supers. Not a build made for spamming. I have minimal problems with PQs (even the hard end-game ones), and managed a 161 combo just kicking Golden Frieza around in one of them. Spamming is just easy. Not the only way to play the game.

With my human striker I usually use a similar setting aside from spirit sword, I just go for blue hurricane, or used kaioken instead of potential unlocked (sometimes used villainous mode too, although it just cripple you as it doesn't give you any benefit and instead stops your ki regen, but I like the visual effect, so eh) along recoome kick and/or another pose I'm feeling to use. Doing combo isn't hard at all, what you need to do is to know how each combo works and find the best method to chain them all. Golden frizea quests aren't difficult, I was referring more to others, like the dark dragons dlc quest or eternal rival. Another annoying dlc quest is the one of mira and towa, the no stagger they put onto mira is just too much, it's not difficult, just annoying.

I'm not trying to say I'm the Best Ever at the game or anything, because I'm not. Honestly, if I can do it, everyone probably can. I don't find any of those very annoying, and the challenge is actually very fun for someone like me who enjoys fighting games to begin with. Really all that I'm trying to get across here is that spamming is a choice, not a necessity. And this is on a female Saiyan striker, arguably the worst race / gender combination for striking in general.

Most of my rant is coming from the many days I had (and still) to pur into farming, after repeating the asme quest over and over there are things that simply annoy people (though this is more based between each individual person). If anything, I'm just curious to actually see how you handle those quests, not because I don't believe you, but because I'm just intrigued by the way you make your way through them, maybe I could learn something or two.

I'll PM you my striker "rotation," if you want to call it that. It's really nifty. I'd give it out freely, but it's also a boon for PvP and I enjoy my trade secrets from time to time.

Sure I'm more than happy to hear it out , sadly I haven't anything useful to compensate with so eh :/ .I'm not really into pvp due to the many spammers and cheat users.

Does anyone know if #18's "I can't get serious here" got nerfed or something? I noticed that its description changed to saying it works on Ki only, but I wasn't sure if it was actually true or not.
Edit: Yep. It got nerfed. It no longer works on Evasive skills.

What's sad is that the debuff still works on Evasive skills so you're basically getting only half the benefit. Of course, with the cap as it is this is an easy workaround.

I feel you mate Actually, this balances the build a little and it really isn't that big of a deal. I'm going to do this for my female Saiyan and this is going to give her some sick power. To elaborate: The Z-Soul activates when you have like 25% health left. This is the same time the Saiyan racial bonus kicks in so you also gain a 25% increase in attack power. Riot Javelin's (Bardock's skill) damage boost also activates at this time giving you a powerful Super to work with (it does more damage than Special Beam Cannon at this point). At this point Unlock Potential becomes usable giving you a nice transformation to work with. What's so awesome about this is that Unlock Potential works differently with Basic Attacks: the larger your stat, the bigger boost you'll get. Now try stacking that with a maxed out Basic Attack stat and the racial bonus. We're talking serious power here. Best part is that the Z-Soul is still in effect so your ki skills are still free since Unlock Potential doesn't have a free skill buff like SSJ forms do. You might as well call it Super Saiyan 3 at this point because of the massive power you're getting out of all of this. XD Since Evasive skills are no longer free at this point, I'll have to invest into Stamina a little to help defensively. Thankfully Super Drain wasn't nerfed so it still restores 3 bars for free, and Absolute Zero is perfect for setting you up for free Stamina or a combo. XD This, right here, is what I would definitely consider a true Glass Cannon. She can't take much punishment yes, but if you give her the chance she WILL wreck you.

Well this is seriously sick, nice combination! The only thing that bothers me is the inability to use evasive skills too until you are with 25% or less health. I hope this setup works well for male saiyans too (the part about riot javelin at least). I'm thinking if this means "the less points to HP = the better" and how viable is with eternal rivals and other similar quests.

Not being able to use Evasive skills isn't that big of an issue since the goal is to get to that low point in health. As for male Saiyans, I honestly think this setup won't be as good on them. Sure they would have a MUCH higher basic attack stat, but their Supers would suck too much to warrant using the Z-Soul, which defeats the purpose of this build. As for HP, you need to have it as maxed as possible. The thing about the 25% health is that it isn't a whole number. It's a percentage. The more health you have total, the more health you'll have left when you hit 25%. This is especially important because Beerus gear and the Z-Soul take a whopping 28 points out of your health stat (24 from Beerus and 4 from Z-Soul; decreases are slightly higher in percentage than increases and usually round up to an extra arrow). Coupled with the fact that female Saiyans have the worst HP stat in the gain means that you need all the Health you can get.

Well on my male saiyan i have invested 75 points into health, 100 into basic attacks and supers and the rest into ki (at least if I recall correctly); I don't have yet beerus clothes so I'll need to find something similar regarding stats. I really hate how they made MALE saiyans suck at supers and ultimates, meh...anyway I'll try this setup just for the sake of it
