This game has a page at NexusMods now , and only has about five mods listed. I only bring it up, because I think it would be easier and more convenient to post completed mods there instead of relegating them to forum posts. (I didn't know where else to post this. And I don't know if this counts as promoting or not. If so, feel free to delete the post.)

Because it's pretty much for -permanent file hosting-? None of the dropboxes and such. Are you serious when you're asking "why would we move the mods there"? There are plenty of modding communities that operate their own sites, like this one, and still host the mods on nexus for convenience of them reaching bigger audience, like the Mass Effect modding community.

Are you serious when you're asking "why would we move the mods there"? Don't argue with Tapion he is the sole hero of the Southern Galaxy.

I'll also throw my hat in the pile in favor of also uploading mods to the Nexus. Navigating the forums is quite frankly, a pretty annoying task considering the fact that all the mods are hidden away in threads, and then hidden again behind spoiler tags. I'm speaking from my experiences as an outsider here, I don't know anybody's names. If I see a mod I like, but close the tab or forget to hit download, it could take me a good 15+ minutes to find it again after wading knee deep through dozens of threads, and then dozens upon dozens of spoiler tags. It's not user friendly at all.
On top of that, smaller mods, or mods that haven't had an update in several days, get quickly booted off the front page. Nothing about this current setup is intuitive for anyone.
The big mods who always stay on the front page, are quickly having their OP's filling up from their various content dumps The less content heavy mods are being pushed down the pages (whether they take longer to make, or the OP just hasn't worked on a new project.) regardless of quality, and only continuing to sink as new modding threads continue to be bumped and posted every day And the tiny mod threads from people that are just starting out, rarely the get attention they need, and also proceed to fall down the ladder.
Even if you look at it in a less personal matter, what are you going to do once these OP's hit the word limit? Or thinking further down the line, what are you going to do if any of these file sharing sites were taken down, or had their databases wiped clean? Because man, my FAVORITE thing in the world is searching for a mod or a bugfix for an older game, only to find that the file link leads to a MegaUpload URL. I'm sure you've all gone through something similar. The way things are set up now, it's neither safe, nor easily accessible for the users to access your content and hard work. Worry about reuploading your mods to the Nexus is justified, but the current setup as it is now (Being the ONLY way to access mods) is also negatively affecting the community.
tl;dr, I'm not saying you kill the forums, just raise awareness/encourage the use of the nexus AS WELL, for the community's sake.
