I want to be able to mod custom auras. Just to be clear, I have seen similar threads about this get bogged down by people thinking I want to change my CaC aura. That is not specifically what I am talking about. I want to modify the auras themselves. I found files in data/vfx/cmn that are aura loops. I have to believe that one of the highly intelligent people on this forum can take that info and make a custom aura. for example I think having the GOD aura be green or black would be great. or having the full red glow on your character in kaioken with the SSJ4 or god aura. Or have Villanous aura turn your character black instead of purple. Is this possible?

I got good news for you I just found out how to do that. You find the aura ID in Hex Editor in the file you use the change characters aura but you can look for the ID of the aura you want to change. Make sure you do not confuse it with character ID's because some of the aura and characters have the same ID's. You can tell by how many ID's there are like Goku's ID is 00 if you see a row of 00's like 15 of them going down that is Goku's other costumes and it not the aura ID's The Aura ID's will always be above the 15 rows of 00's and you find the ID there of the aura you want then you copy the all the numbers from the ID's row from left to right but do not copy the ID only highlight and copy the rest of the numbers in that ID. Then you find the ID you want to to replace and paste alls of the numbers you copied in the ID's row but do not replace the number ID number just the other numbers in it's row form right to left and save it. Hope you understand what I am saiyan.

Thanks for the reply. I was aware of this type of mod, but I appreciate you taking the time to help. What I would like to do is take an existing aura and change the color to something that is not currently available, like a black aura for example. I would also like to understand why some auras (ie villainous) bathe your character in a glow/sheen and some do not. Why do some have lightning and some don't? It seems like it would be possible to alter the auras. I have tried mixing #s between auras in my aur_setting.aur but that isn't changing anything, it just causes the aura to go away. or makes it look like your character is in flight even when standing still. I am currently examining the aura files in data/vfx/cmn, but haven't come up with anything useful.

But I think the numbers from the aura ID's might have something to do with that. Try changing the numbers and and the color might change also I tried the data/vfx/cmn and my aura did change but there were a lot of graphical and lighting errors.

Yeah, same here. I have tried switching number patterns and counting numbers up and down in the hex editor, but no luck. Honestly though, I'm am a bit out of my league with all of this. I have seen a few people in other threads asking for this, so I figured the more people that ask the more likely it will be that someone figures it out. Thanks again for trying to help.
