But then where is the custom skills and auras id want to edit? And repack using your new method; I noticed there wasn't a bac file for data ( the first). I just want to edit skills and auras again...

I just want to edit skills and auras again... you understand they added new offsets to the aur and cus files right? so old mods wont work. you need to use the new cus and aur files and edit those . you JUST need to understand the basis of modding edit- they are found on data2.cpk

Hrm well I can mod characters in but even taking the skill cus and editing it ( as I only found system files in the created data folder which I assume is Cpk2) and repacking with pack-data-2 or trying pack-data-p2 results in the game infinitely loading at start up. Worse I have to verify cache each time to try something different.
I'll have to take a break till figuring this out. What a pain.

What a pain. data2.cpk extraacts in to data2 . open it you ll find a data folder, open that you ll find a system folder in that you ll find what you are looking for. YOU CANNOT use the system files from old mods. you have to make new ones from the newly extracted system folder of data2.cpk

when you try to mod the clothes or hair or accessories...make sure to put it in datap3 according to The Mad Titan .....but make sure to copy only modded file....example (HUM_000_hair)something like that...don't copy the (player_bac)- this is a system file...it causes infinite loading...because it replace the version 1.07 data with your previous mod..its not compatible....
if you want to copy skills or items or aura mod...use data2....not datap3
data2 - skills, aura, z soul mod datap3 - items, accessories, clothes, hairstyle
oh make sure to back up data2, datap3 - original ones...in case you screwed up...
