Anyone with a bit of reasoning will pay for this, why ?, because there are hundreds of mods that are better than this and deserve to a donation. For example Skyrim mods, where the world is a hundred thousand times larger than the DB Xenoverse. You know what it costs to change the textures from all the world ?, and over they give it to people without asking for a centime and there are also mods that change all the gaming experience (Fallout for example). Spend a second per nexus skyrim and you will see what I'm saying. In conclusion, nobody, absolutely nobody will pay for something like this (just those who are created millionaires xD).

is like i said, mods in skyrim are way bigger, and are for free, and the modders only put a donate button, and that's enough to them, because is supposed to be their hobbies not their jobs.
may be is easier, but, do you saw some of them at least?, is one with another history with voices, is like a dlc or even better than a dlc, and you know what? it's for free.

Don't forget there are some well known mods that have taken months (if not a year or two even) to create and they continue to update them with bug fixes, more content, etc. Skywind is a definite example here considering the sheer volume of effort and time it's taking for a team of modders, voice actors, etc to build it. The kicker? Nearly every single modder has never asked for payment, donations, etc. They contribute to the community because they want to, not to make a profit. Anyway Mastaklo, there are mods that are much, MUCH larger and have taken WAY more time than anything/everything you have created that have also been free to use. I get that you need to make a living, but creating mods and showing them to people only to tell them they need to "contribute" to get them? As much as I'm against the idea of Mastaklo directly selling his mods (frankly I don't care since I never use any character replacer mods besides my own), I still respect him as the person who made a huge contribution in DBXV modding arena.I mean, he WAS the one who created this forum. Plus, I don't see him doing any harm to anyone by doing so. One should remember that those mods ARE his since he made them himself and he may do as he pleases with them, even if it's against the common idea that all mods should be free, because he owns the mods. He has full authority over the mods he made. If you don't like him doing that, it would be enough for you to protest by just not use his mods. You don't have to show an offensive attitude towards him. It's not like your DBXV will never work if you don't download his mods. Also, remember that he's done more good than bad here. He actually created this forum & did some tutorials for other modders to actually benefit & produce something, and then share them to everyone. I'm both a user and a modder. If it wasn't for Mastaklo's effort in making this forum & provides basic tutorial, I wouldn't even be dreaming of playing DBXV other than vanilla, and making a mod for it is out of the question. I can't speak for other modders in this community, but I'm pretty sure most of the best modders here started off with by learning tutorials by Mastaklo. To all the users, Remember those cell-shaded mods you get from Yusion? Those hair you got from Shadongo? Those Other Character Replacers you got from Xan & Heirtalent? All of them are obtained from this very site. If Mastaklo didn't start this forum, these wonderful mods would be non-existent. I know my post is pretty much TL;DR, But all I'm trying to say is, Show some respect to the man, at least. Even if you don't agree with his decisions, you don't have to be a douche and condemn him. P/S: Worst comes to worst, if Mastaklo decides to shut down this forum because some users are being immature, I'll pack up my stuff and upload them in Nexus since I had made some mods for Skyrim as well~ |
