1. It started
2. Then there came a black screen
3. 5 seconds later it said Xenoverse doesn't work
4. It gave me the option to close it

I've got 2 Xenoverse Folders on my second It froze on the Character Select Screen

I don't know where this comes from, maybe you repacked the wrong foler, I don't know because it works perfectly for me.

I think I figured out.
Do a backup of you data2.cpk file and then delete it. Then re-download it by verifying your game files in properties of the steam game. Then copy the new data2.cpk in libxnoverse folder and unpack it with "extract-data2.bat". DO NOT USE "extract-data2-uncompressed.bat"
Then in the new data2 foler, you can copy my mod and repack it with "pack-data-2.bat"
Now it should work.
