Model Swapping basicly is just renaming the files The only challenge here is to know which file is what. Heres a quick rundown on the file types:
.dyt.emb are the color and the shading of a model
.emb are the alpha textures of a model
.emd is the 3d model
.esk is the bone tree which the model is rigged to
.emm are the materials
.scd is the physiks of a model (for example long hair or capes)
to actualy swap models compare the 2 files you want to swap for example when you want to put vegetto over radditz you just rename the files of vegetto to fit the files of radditz and replace them so to swap a model and textures we need the .dyt.emb, .emb, .emd, and the .emm
for example we switch vegetto bust over radditz here is how you should rename the files
VTO_000_Bust.dyt.emb ---> RAD_000_Bust.dyt.emb VTO_000_Bust.emb ---> RAD_000_Bust.emb VTO_000_Bust.emd ---> RAD_000_Bust.emd VTO_000_Bust.emm ---> RAD_000_Bust.emm
now put the renamed files in the RAD folder and replace the old files with it now repack the .cpk and test ingame

There was just a hole in the top of the front, but I'll recap the blender with. Then I will change the shape of the hair and I would end by the textures. Thank you again !!

@mastaklo
Have you managed to change the shape of an object?
I tried with 3DS Max, and the same problem with blender. Except that the hair was huge.
It's frustrating...

I need some help too. I think I have the same problem : I wanted to take Vegito's hair to modify it with blender and then swap it back for gogeta's head. However when I swap the files I get this I tried to swap the .scd file and rename it as well but it still doesn't work. Any ideas to get it to work ?

Thanks for the answer, however I already tried to swap the hair on another character which ended up on the same thing. I think the model (bones ?) get messed up after I modified it in blender.
