I want to make a beam thinner by erasing part of the texture but it shows up black rather than invisible. Help?

Bump. If I can make texture map's smaller/make parts invisible, I can make some pretty cool shit.

Bumper cars. I tried going into Multichannel on the .emb files of a skill, painted stuff black, went back to RGB mode, texture clearly had blacked out areas, but ingame it STILL just fucking shows up the whole damn graphic. I WANT INVIS PARTS >_<

That's what I thought I was doing when I went into Multichannel tab on my photoshop. But apparently not. IDK what to do to get the Alpha layer of a Skill texture :/

Skill textures are DDS o.o They don't have an emb AND a dyt.emb though, just an Emb which has the color.

once you have your black and white texture on photoshop select the black and go to your channels and there are two little circles at the bottom, thats what make them alpha.
