Alright, well we've all seen White Lord's tutorial right? He makes it quite complicated, but I found a much easier way of doing this.
It's very simple, and much faster, especially for those who want to use this online, where you have a timer.
I will use text and pictures to explain this, (For Those Who Hate Reading or Picturing, lol).
First step is the easiest, load up Xenoverse, and go to a character select screen. It doesn't matter which one. However, Parallel Quests CAN break it with SOME characters, but it isn't a big deal.
Now, open up your handy-dandy Cheat Engine, and select Xenoverse. Now we can finally get started.
There are multiple ways of approaching this particular method, but I'll show you my way, because I think it's decently quick.
Explanation? Kay. What we will be doing, is taking the hex ID of the character you currently are selecting, and change it to the one we want. By doing this, it will give us the new character after we select the old one. BE WARNED! Just because you don't see Appule turning into a Great Ape Vegeta, it doesn't mean it didn't work. It wont display in the character select screen, but it will show in the cutscene before the battle, which is how you'll tell if it has been done right. Basically, we are tricking Xenoverse into thinking that we have selected Great Ape Vegeta, but really we have Appule selected. Dumb Xenoverse, sometimes it makes this too easy.
Next step! If you have a list of Character Id's, (I happen to have one, which I'll be putting down below), then you can use any set of characters, but I'll be using Future Trunks, God Goku, and Teen Gohan for simpler demonstration. Alright, so pick an ID of a character that you have unlocked,(In this case, Future Trunks), then select that character, (By select I DO NOT mean press A, just hover over him). Now, time for Cheat Engine to do its part. Go to Cheat Engine, and put the options like this:
Once you've set it up as shown above, go ahead and put in your selected character's hex ID into the box, and click "First Scan". In this case, because we are using Future Trunks, his hex value is 1A, so we would use 1A after selecting him. A ton of values should show up. Now, we need to reduce these values so we don't completely break the game after changing them. So, select another character,(God Goku, ID is 03), and scan for their ID. Again, a decent amount of values should show up. Now depending on which set of characters you are using, this may or may not be the final scan, but in this case it is. If not, just repeat the process with more than three characters. So now, we will select the final character, (Teen Gohan, ID is 07), and scan for their ID. Now you should get around 5-7 different values, select them all and put them in your address box. Now, while making sure you don't deselect the character you are on, change the all of the values in the address box to the desired ID. Then, once changed, go ahead and play as the character you have selected, (Teen Gohan), and you're all done!
Wasn't that easy? Here is a picture of the completed product using Great Ape Vegeta as the character we changed to:
