I have started to use blender instead of 3ds max because of the simplicity and blender is more user friendly (atleast for me )
I come across this awesome tutorial for noobs like I am. So im just sharing it here for those who want to learn how to use blender . I chose maya preset for navigation purposes because its so easy with maya controls.
This tutorial will cover the basic things for someone who never touched a 3d modeling program. This is not made by me . but im sharing it because I higly doubt i could do a better job at explaining things and because of high demand for a blender tutorial.
Remember! Blender is free ... Now have fun !

There's a few of these around the net indeed. Some better explained than others. One of the reasons why I didn't make a blender specific tutorial was because of this reason. Just doing a search will get you to quite a few quality ones. And since I believe that in my tutorial I have covered the interaction between blender and this game in a basic form, I felt producing one of these could have been wasteful. I'm also strapped for time anyway.
Now, to everyone else. The tutorial shown here is divided in parts. Right click on it and watch it on youtube so you can link to the rest of the parts. I'm not a master of blender but if you have questions that the tutorial do not answer, don't hesitate to ask. Though it's always best to try and understand what is said in the tutorial completely.

I hate video tutorials so much. Its much easier to type and read press [K], [C] and then [Z] to slice a mesh evenly by the Z axis than watch the same 15 year old kid with a crazy accent or a barrage of badly-synced annotations try and tell you over Finger Eleven's Paralyzer.
"Gee, I'm so sick of switching tabs and pausing videos every 3 seconds." - every one ever
... But this one isn't too bad.

But this one isn't too bad.I personally prefer the images + text approach too, but in this age, seems most people prefer a video and a voice. It's also much easier for whoever is making the tutorial to do it as a video with voice, since it would be nearly the exact same thing he would be doing if the learning person were right next to him. We might be a minority now so I guess we just adapt.
